Ingredient Description
Aqua When we were told that we have to call our purified water “Aqua” we thought they were kidding. But we can’t fight bureaucracy. So we aren’t trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water “Aqua” sometimes.
Decyl Glucoside (Glucose Derived Cleanser) Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived Cleanser) We blend this cleanser in with the others to increase the foam building as people do expect a shampoo to have a nice creamy foam, as well as clean effectivly.
Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate (Coconut Derived Cleanser) This is a coconut derived cleanser which chose because it is very good at cleaning the oil from hair while not irritating the skin on the scalp. It has a couple of other benefits too; including being from renewable sources and also has a reputation for leaving the hair silky smooth due to the fact that is an amino acid based cleanser.
Sodium Lauroamphoacetate (Coconut Derived Cleanser) We add this cleanser as it is a very good cleanser and so ensures that hair is cleaned effectivly and not left lank or heavy.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Derived De-Tangler) Rapeseed Oil Derived Detangler. Terrible name but one of the best natural conditioners for the hair. Most conditioners use silicone (cycolmethicone or dimethicone) to coat the hair in slipperiness which can also cause build-up. We use this ingredient in combination with Jojoba Oil instead.
Lauryl Glucoside (Glucose Derived Cleanser) Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.
Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax) Typically used as an emulsifier, here it stabilizes and thickens the shampoo without harshness or heaviness.
Glyceryl Oleate (Natural Ester) Derived from Glycerin, this helps condition the skin and scalp.
Coco-Glucoside (Glucose Derived Cleanser) Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.
Piroctone Olamine Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient. Non-irritating, it  helps keep the cream free from bacteria and mould.
Allantoin Comfrey Root has long been known as a calming plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since been synthesised to make it more concentrated and effective. So the allantoin we use is the pure ingredient.
Hydrolysed Milk Protein This helps ensure the hair is smooth and silky.

For people with Lactose intolerance this is no problem. However for people that are allergic to Milk Protein itself, this ingredient would not be suitable. If in doubt, all natural products should be patch tested before use.
Fragrant Oil (Phthlate Free) We used to use various Essential Oils in our Milky Shampoo, Conditioner and Milk Wash. EO’s are great if we could talk to each customer and check for allergies. Due to the occasional reaction to EO’s, we removed them. We want to sooth people scalps and even a very small number of reactions to EO’s was distressing for us. But people still want their hair to smell nice. So we worked with another company to develop phthalate free fragrant oil (phthalates are the things in fragrances that a lot of people don’t like) and since then the response has been great.

 Moogoo Cream Conditioner 500ml

Ingredients:

Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Emulsifier), Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Based Detangler), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Piroctone Olamine, Allantoin, Hydrolysed Milk Protein, Fragrant (Phthalate free).

Ingredient Description
Aqua When we were told that we have to call our purified water “Aqua” we thought they were kidding. But we can’t fight bureaucracy. So we aren’t trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water “Aqua” sometimes.
Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Emulsifier) Made from a mix of purified water and oils so as to be more moisturising than oil alone. To hold water and oils together, they need an emulsifying wax. We use a plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Based Detangler) Rapeseed Oil Derived Detangler. Terrible name but one of the best natural conditioners for the hair. Most conditioners use silicone (cycolmethicone or dimethicone) to coat the hair in slipperiness which can also cause build-up. We use this ingredient in combination with Jojoba Oil instead.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil Jojoba Oil is one of the most moisturising skin care oils around and is one of our all-time favourite moisturising oils. It is light and sinks into the skin easily. Curiously, Jojoba Oil is actually a liquid wax. It is also very non comedogenic meaning that it does not clog the pores. It makes for a good conditioner too. It helps keep the hair shaft smooth and soft. Most hair conditioners use silicone to coat the hair (cyclomethicone or dimethicone), however Jojoba Oil is much more natural and moisturising and doesn’t cause so much build-up.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil Wonderfully healthy for the skin. So many benefits, it might be best to Google "Olive Oil Skin" instead.
Piroctone Olamine Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient. Non-irritating, it  helps keep the product free from bacteria and mould.
Allantoin Comfrey Root has long been known as a soothing plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since. It is said to clean away dead tissue, allowing the growth of new healthy tissue. Allantoin has been also termed a counter irritant.  It helps the skin to help itself. It is also promoted as preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting skin repair.
Hydrolysed Milk Protein Amino Acids can help the hair to feel smoother and softer. We use hydrolized protein as a cow friendly source of amino acids.

For people with Lactose intolerance this is no problem. However for people that are allergic to Milk Protein itself, this ingredient would not be suitable. If in doubt, all natural products should be patch tested before use.
