Babies need some cleansers in their bath for hygiene. Washing with water doesnt really remove dirt and ermm..other stuff that gets on babies. But some cleansers can dry the skin, especially those that make bubbles. And every parent knows, BABIES NEED BUBBLES!

The best bubbles are made by Sodium Laureth Sulphate, and this is also a cheap way to make a wash. However, SLS can be very drying and is also a more irritating detergent than more modern natural cleansers.

We have taken a different approach. We have combined small amounts of six different natural cleaners as this can be milder on the skin than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that bubbled well, although the bubbles dont last quite as long as with SLS so every now and then the water can be mixed up again to rebuild the bubbles.

We have then added soothing Colloidal Rice Bran. This creates a silky film that keeps the skin moisturised and smooth. Aloe and other skin soothing ingredients are added last. Overall we think this is the best bubbly formula that could be made for babies. We are sure your baby will emerge as smooth as a babies...

Ingredient Description
Aqua When we were told that we have to call our purified water Aqua we thought they were kidding. But we cant fight bureaucracy. So we arent trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water Aqua sometimes.
Cocomidoproply Betaine (Coconut Derived Cleanser) Is a Glucoside. Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didnt really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera) Aloe Vera. Most people already know the healing and soothing benefits of Aloe Vera. We loved it before we made skin care, and we love it in our creams.
Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate (Coconut Derived Cleanser) This is a coconut derived cleanser which chose because it is very good at cleaning while not irritating the skin or the scalp. It has a couple of other benefits too; including being from renewable sources and also has a reputation for leaving the skin silky smooth due to the fact that is an amino acid based cleanser.
Glyceryl Oleate (Natural Ester) Derived from Glycerin, this helps condition the skin and scalp.
Oryza Sativa (Colloidal Rice) Bran Used to soften and condition the skin. Rich in anti-oxidants, it is also a skin protectant, rich in gamma-oryzanol. This helps protect and replenish your skin. Rice Bran oil can be an effective substitute for lanolin, and can help reduce inflammation and soothe discomfort. It's a wonderful oil for itchy "alligator" skin.
Glycol Distearate Helps condition the skin.
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Guar Gum) The Guar bean is a legume. We use a modified guar ingredient sometimes called Guar Silk. It helps make the skin nice and smooth after using our creams.
Glyceryl Caprylate When water and natural oils are mixed, they can become contaminated with bacteria, some of which can be very dangerous. Our products are often used by people with already troubled skin, and bacteria is the last thing they need.Glyceryl Caprylate is an Ecocert Approved (Organic Approved) way of keeping Mini Moo Wash free from bacteria. We voluntarily send our creams for testing to an independent laboratory that checks the purity of the cream if stored under 30 degrees for 2 years. This is called a British Pharmocopea Preservative Efficacy Test.
Piroctone Olamine Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient. Non-irritating, it also helps keep the cream free from bacteria and mould.
Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract Cosmetic creams need to stay pure from bacteria. That is why ingredients like Parabens etc are used by a lot of companies. These work great at achieving their aim, but a lot of our customers are very young children. Sometimes accidents happen and so we aim to make our creams as food like as possible. We worked for over a year to develop a preservation system based on Hop Extract. All our creams have now been checked for preservative efficacy using the British Pharmacopeia test. We are very proud that we are probably one of the first companies to develop this natural and edible anti-bacterial system into our creams.
