MooGoo Skincare - Milk Wash
Weadded genuine ingredients (not gimmicks) to prevent drying of the skin.Milk Protein (Casein) is similar to the skin's own protein and helps maintain elasticity. The natural ester Glycerol Oleate helps to prevent skin water loss and leaves the skin smoother.
Our body wash does not create big bubbles like a synthetic detergent. It washes gently and without drying of the skin. Because it is so gentle it is also a no tears formulation in children's eyes.
Can the Milk Wash be used as a face cleanser? Yes... Glucoside Cleansers were originally designed to be usedfor face wipes and baby wipes. Although we package the Milk Wash for overall use,it is also one of the most gentle ways to wash the face available anywhere (including those others in tiny bottles).
We have packaged the Milky Body Wash in large 500ml containers. Try it and see just how good your skin becomes after washing with something as gentle as water that washes the skin without excess water loss.

Ingredient | Description |
Aqua | When we were told that we have to call our purified water Aqua we thought they were kidding. But we cant fight bureaucracy. So we arent trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water Aqua sometimes. |
Decyl Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser) | Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find. |
Sodium Lauroamphoacetate (Coconut Derived Cleanser) | Is a Glucoside. Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didnt really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find. |
Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Based Conditioner) | Rapeseed Oil has a terrible name but is one of the best natural conditioners. We use this ingredient in combination with Jojoba Oil to actively condition the skin to offer smootheness without creating an oily residue. |
Lauryl Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser) | Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didnt really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find. |
Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax) | Creams are made from a mix of purified water and oils so as to be more moisturising than oil alone. To hold water and oils together, they need an emulsifying wax. We use a plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together. |
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived Cleanser) | Is a Glucoside. |
Glyceryl Oleate (Skin Conditioner) | Derived from Glycerin, this helps condition the skin and scalp. |
Coco-Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser) | Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didnt really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find. |
Allantoin | Comfrey Root has long been known as a calming plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since been synthesised to make it more concentrated and effective. So the allantoin we use is the pure ingredient. It is said to clean away dead tissue, allowing the growth of new healthy tissue. Allantoin has been also termed a counter irritant. It is also promoted as preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting skin repair. |
Piroctone Olamine | Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient. Non-irritating, it helps keep the cream free from bacteria and mould. |
Hydrolysed Milk Protein | Cognis research found that milk protein in a cream increased skin elasticity by around 20% compared to the same cream without. Skin elasticity ensures lines and wrinkles are minimized after any movement of the skin. For people with Lactose intolerance this is no problem. However for people that are allergic to Milk Protein itself, this ingredient would not be suitable. If in doubt, all natural products should be patch tested before use. |
Fragrant Oil (Phthlate Free) | We used to use various Essential Oils in our Milky Shampoo, Conditioner and Milk Wash. EOs are great if we could talk to each customer and check for allergies. Due to the occasional reaction to EOs, we removed them. We want to sooth people scalps and even a very small number of reactions to EOs was distressing for us. But people still want their hair to smell nice. So we worked with another company to develop phthalate free fragrant oil (phthalates are the things in fragrances that a lot of people dont like) and since then the response has been great. |
